Emily Davis & The Sunday Brides (Zac Kingston, Steve Pederson, Brian Ruiz and Mel Horseman) play a music feast that is a finely crafted expression of home truths woven with earthy acoustic sounds and hauntingly beautiful lyrics at the Wheatsheaf Hotel on Friday 16th and Saturdau 17th March. Their raw energy, stage presence, unique vocals and soulful guitar work mesh into a performance that will enrich you with its honesty.
The show is a blend of earthy and rhythmic acoustica, and intense and emotive interludes – with the full band playing all the songs from Emily's debut album ‘Moving in Slow Motion'. With influences of classical guitar, jazz, folk and pop, the fusion of sounds is carefully weaved together to form her classic style. With special guest bands Nereeda and Emily Smart this is a music moment to be immersed in.

Emily's music comes straight from the heart. Her live performances are warm and inviting, drawing the audience in for an especially moving experience. Soundscapes and stories, reflections and ballads about the beauty and tragedy of urban pursuits, are brought to life in her songwriting. Emily has recently finished recording her debut album ‘Moving in Slow Motion' with Monique Brumby in the producer's seat. The album also features ‘Badloves' drummer Chris Tabone and the first single released from the album is ‘Anthems and Odes' – a snapshot of a friendship fostered by fate, backgammon and Turkish coffee.

Emily Smart is not just an acoustic soloist, but an acoustic experience not to be forgotten. With a striking and emotive voice complemented by acoustic indie/pop music with a hint of folk, Emily's beautifully structured songs boast uncluttered arrangements with surprising little moments. On stage her presence is undeniably compelling. She has been described as having amazing charisma, wooing her audiences with lyrical embraces, spine tingling vocals and catchy melodies.
